Northampton Township Parks and Recreation is seeking a Program Assistant. This entry level position has been established so that the department is able to effectively and efficiently provide organized activities appropriate for and desired by Northampton Township residents. The employee will serve as an Information Specialist both in the Parks and Recreation office and at the Recreation Center promoting the programs that Parks and Recreation offers and ensuring customers get the answers they need. This team player will assist the Program Staff in all aspects of program planning and implementation.
An Associate degree with two years’ experience in a recreation related position or Bachelor degree in Recreation, education or equivalent field of study is required. The Township of Northampton is currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the full-time (37.5 hrs/week) position of Staff Accountant with our Finance Department. Applicants for this position will perform a variety of professional accounting functions involving receivables, receipts, budgeting, reconciliations, and grant administration. The ideal candidate would have several years’ experience in government or non-profit fund based accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with minimum 2 years of accounting or related experience required. Knowledge base of Microsoft Excel is a must; accounting software experience such as Springbrook a plus.

The Northampton Township Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Applications will only be accepted from May 22, 2021 until June 25, 2021 at 1530 hours. You will need to have a valid Pennsylvania Photo Driver’s License when you turn in your application. Our Headquarters is open 24 hours a day. Applications must be picked up and returned in person by the applicant at our Headquarters. PLEASE READ THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS CAREFULLY.

Must have a valid Pennsylvania operator’s license.
Must be a United States citizen.
