Northampton Township is seeking qualified applicants for a Facilities Maintenance Crew position within the Public Works Department. This position performs maintenance, repair, and operational work necessary to support Township buildings, facilities, and related infrastructure. Work includes general building maintenance, construction and repair activities, HVAC support, plumbing and electrical assistance, equipment operation, janitorial services, and seasonal operations.
This position requires physical labor, technical skill, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to support daily operations and facility improvement projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine building and facility maintenance, repairs, and improvements
- Perform carpentry, masonry, painting, roofing, and sheetrock work
- Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance and minor repairs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and maintenance equipment
- Conduct facility inspections and report safety hazards and maintenance needs
- Assist with winter snow removal operations and other seasonal facility needs
- Maintain tools, equipment, storage areas, and mechanical rooms
- Support Township programs and special events
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License (CDL A preferred)
- Experience in building maintenance, construction trades, facilities management, or public works maintenance preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions

Parks Maintenance Crew – Public Works
Northampton Township, PA
Northampton Township is seeking qualified applicants for a Parks Maintenance Crew position within the Public Works Department. This position supports the maintenance and operation of Township parks, recreational facilities, athletic fields, and related infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine parks and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and litter removal
- Provide janitorial services for park restrooms and facilities
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and parks maintenance equipment
- Assist with snow removal and other seasonal operations
- Support Township programs, special events, and park improvement projects
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
