NORTHAMPTON PROCLAMATION

DISTINGUISHED CITIZEN AWARD IN RECOGNITION OF KATIE YOUNG

WHEREAS, Katie Young is a resident of Northampton Township; and WHEREAS, Katie Young found a purse at her place of employment containing a large sum of cash, a check, numerous credit cards, and gift cards; and WHEREAS, Katie Young, with no expectation of reward other than the gratification that comes from helping others, contacted the Northampton Township Police and reported the purse as lost; and WHEREAS, Katie Young exhibited honesty and integrity, and is a role model for others; and WHEREAS, the actions of Katie Young prove that the public good depends upon the character of our citizens by showing compassion and respect for others; and WHEREAS, Katie Young exemplifies the character of the citizens in Northampton Township. NOW THEREFORE, We, the Northampton Township Board of Supervisors recognize Katie Young as a Distinguished Citizen of our community.
