NORTHAMPTON PROCLAMATION

IN RECOGNITION OF YELENA BARAS

WHEREAS, The Distinguised Citizen Award was established by the Board of Supervisors on January 2, 2001, to acknowledge an outstanding Northampton Township resident; and the Board of Supervisors has chosen YELENA BARAS to receive the award this June 2007; and WHEREAS, Yelena is a resident of Richboro, and soon-to-be graduate of Council Rock High School South, and WHEREAS Yelena is an energetic, industrious and intelligent young woman; a true scholar and member of the National Honor Society, French Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and a member of the Student Executive Board, and WHEREAS Yelena finds the time in her demanding schedule to provide her services to our community, volunteering with the Children's Cultural Center, Louisiana Hurricane Relief Effort, March of Dimes Team Leader, Coach vs. Cancer, Camp Counselor, Aids Awareness Walk, Red Cross Blood Drive and Light the Night Leukemia Walk. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors and the citizens of Northampton Township hereby recognize and honor YELENA BARAS as a "Distinguished Citizen" of Northampton Township.
