"The Spring Garden Mill on Newtown Road at Neshaminy Creek was built in 1819 by Richard Imlay, but sold at sheriff sale the same year to Enos Morris. A man traveling down Newtown-Richboro Road in 1858 came upon the Spring Garden Mill along Neshaminy Creek and described the mill as "one of the finest-looking establishment of its kind to be seen in a week's ride in Bucks County. The operation consisted of a large flour mill and new saw mill well fitted up and in good repair." Eventually it became part of the Tyler estate, now the Tyler State Park. It was in operation until 1956. Many times over the years it was flooded out and the nearby covered bridge washed away, then fire damaged the saw mill. Today it is a summer theater."
