Project Blue Light

Project Blue Light is a nationwide recognition of those Police Officers who have died in the line of duty. It began in 1988 in Philadelphia when Dolly Craig wrote a letter to COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors) stating that she would be honoring her late son-in-law, Philadelphia Police Officer Danny Gleason, during the holiday season by placing a blue light in her window during the holidays. We brought Project Blue Light to Bucks County in 1997 and have continued to hold this recognition service since.

The Project Blue Light candle and tree will be lit at the December 14th board of supervisors' meeting. You are cordially invited to join with us as we acknowledge the men and women of law enforcement by lighting a blue light during the holidays in honor of those who have paid the ultimate price and those who are working 24/7 in our community and other communities to keep us safe.

Sincerely,

Chief Barry Pilla
