CITIZEN OF THE MONTH

NORTHAMPTON
PROCLAMATION

        WHEREAS, The Citizen of the Month Award was established by the Board of Supervisors on January 2, 2001, to acknowledge an outstanding Northampton Township resident; and

WHEREAS, KELLY C. FINLEY, of Holland, has been chosen by the Board of Supervisors to receive the award for November in the year of 2004; and

WHEREAS, Kelly is a hard working and conscientious student who is a senior at Council Rock High School South, a member of her church and school choir, an individual who has volunteered her time in our community and an outstanding member of the Spirit Swim Team; and

WHEREAS, this past summer, when an unfortunate accident occurred at the George School swimming pool, Kelly, through her training and skill as a lifeguard and a swimmer rescued a young girl from the pool, performed resuscitation efforts and first aid until emergency services arrived; saving her life and preventing serious brain damage.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors and the citizens of Northampton Township hereby recognize and honor KELLY C. FINLEY as "CITIZEN OF THE MONTH".

PRESENTED this 17th day of November, 2004.
