DISTINGUISHED CITIZEN


NORTHAMPTON
PROCLAMATION

    WHEREAS, The Distinguished Citizen Award was established by the Board of Supervisors on January 2, 2001, to acknowledge an outstanding Northampton Township resident; and     

WHEREAS, CHERYL MEE of Richboro, has been chosen by the Board of Supervisors to receive the award on this June, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl, mother of two grown sons, and a registered nurse, exemplified the true qualities of a Good Samaritn when driving by an accident involving Thomas Knoll, a 14 year old boy who was bleeding profusely after a bicycle accident that caused the bare handlebar of his bike to stab him in the leg, dangerously close to the femoral atery, and

WHEREAS, Cheryl quickly took action to administer first aid, help stop the bleeding, and to calm and comfort the young manl tode to the hospital with him, and continued to show her compassion and concen by calling and visiting the accident victim to assure that he was on his way to recovery.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors and the citizens of Northampton Township hereby recognize and honor CHERYL MEE as a "DISTINGUISHED CITIZEN" OF Northampton Township..
