CITIZEN OF THE MONTH

NORTHAMPTON
PROCLAMATION

        WHEREAS, The Distinguished Citizen Award was established by the Board of Supervisors on January 2, 2001, to acknowledge an outstanding Northampton Township resident; and

WHEREAS, the BOY SCOUTS OF TROOPS 5, 147, AND 240 have been chosen by the Supervisors to receive the award for July 2007; and

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts have proven their commitment to teamwork through volunteering by preparing for the proper disposal of the American flag and participating in the Flag Day Ceremony held on June 14, 2007, to ensure this ceremony would be a success and;

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to commend these scouts in their daily life practices, based on moral values and principles, and sharing the knowledge they have acquired through their scouting experience and therefore, they are assets and examples to their community and;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors and the citizens of Northampton Township hereby recognize and honor the BOY SCOUTS OF TROOPS 5, 147 AND 240 as "Distinguished Citizens" of Northampton Township.
