CITIZEN OF THE MONTH

NORTHAMPTON
PROCLAMATION

        WHEREAS, The Distinguished Citizen Award was established by the Board of Supervisors on January 2, 2001, to acknowledge an outstanding Northampton Township resident or group; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finley has been a resident of Northampton Township for over 32 years and has served Northampton Township by promoting recreational opportunities for the citizens of Nothampton Township as Co-owner of the Richboro Swim Club for over 25 years; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finley represented Northampton Township's interests on the Federal Lands Re-use Authority serving as that Board's first and last Chairman and led the way toward its success in converting the federal property to meaningful civilian use with his enthusiasm, support and devotion and has been an inspiration to the community; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finley chaired the Richboro 2000 Committee, paving the way for the beginning of the revitalization of downtown Richboro; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finley through selfless volunteering and dedication to Northampton Township donated his time and resources and helped invest in the growth and expansion of our community; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize, commend and thank Robert Finley for his efforts by selecting him to receive the Distinguished Citizens Award for December 2007; and

NOW, THEREFORE, The Board of Supervisors and the citizens of Northampton Township hereby honor Robert Finley as "Distinguished Citizen" of Northampton Township.
