PROCLAMATION

In Recognition of Northampton Township Lions Club

50th Anniversary
1958-2008

        WHEREAS, The Northampton Township Lions Club will be celebrating its 50th year of service on Sunday May 4, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the Northampton Township Lions Club; has a long history of service to the community and participates in many events to further their involvement with friends and neighbors; and

WHEREAS, the Northampton Township Lions Club participates in the Northampton Days Festival, Movie Night hosted by the Northampton Township Parks & Recreation at the Summer Concerts held at the Township Park; and

WHEREAS, the Northampton Township Lions Club has served at the Churchville Nature Center, Northampton Township Library, Bucks County Association of the Blind, the Recreation Center, Senior Center and many local businesses; and

WHEREAS, the Northampton Township Lions Club collects used eye glasses, for persons in emerging third world countries, built cabins, paths at Beacon Lodge, a camp for the blind and worked at Camp Kirby, a camp for the deaf; and

NOW, THEREFORE, We, the Northampton Township Board of Supervisors, hereby congratulate Northampton Township Lions Club on the occasion of their 50th Anniversary and recognize the ongoing care and commitment its members have provided to the people of Northampton Township since 1958.
